As an avid reader I’ve always loved the power of words. Whether it’s to connect with a character in a story, teach something new and profound, or simply to convey information – words mean things.

As a seasoned communications professional, I’ve worked in a range of sectors from finance and not-for-profits to higher education for organisations such as BNP Paribas, Fawcett Society and Imperial College Business School.

Writing engaging and impactful content from blog posts, thought leadership articles to internal comms emails has always my favourite part of working in Communications. And as a freelance writer, I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge from my communications background to the content I create for clients.

For over four years I wrote for The British BlackList, leading on the literature section – writing book reviews, interviewing authors as well as curating a monthly recommended book list.

I also began a literature and culture website, Just Read It, which I have been running for the past 13 years. Just Read It is a curated space aimed at literature lovers and dedicated to amplifying the voices of minority authors, particularly those from the African diaspora.
